Ginger, or ginger root, is a hot, fragrant spice that is eaten fresh, pureed, pickled, candied, cooked or dried and finely ground. The plant is in the same family of herbs as turmeric, cardamom and galangal.
Grape juice concentrate is the fruit juice of ground, pressed and sieved grapes, from which some water has been removed. Grape juice can be white, red, or purple, depending on the grapes used. Concord grape juice has a distinctive purple-blue color.
Ascorbic acid, or vitamin C, may prevent color changes in food, and is an antioxidant vitamin that is essential for human health. It is sometimes added to bread dough to improve texture, nourish the yeast, or make the dough easier to handle.

These regulations will require labeling of foods that contain bioengineered (GMO) ingredients. Disclosure must be through text, a symbol, or a scannable code, such as a SmartLabel™ QR code.
